THAT to Sponsor Product Design Track at 129th AES Conference

— First ever track features over 20 technical events —

Bo Moses
AES Product Design Track Chair

Milford, MA, USA  – THAT Corporation has agreed to sponsor the first ever Product Design Track at the 129th AES Convention. For this special, convention-long event, Product Design Track chair Bob Moses has assembled nearly two dozen highly informative workshops, tutorials, and Master Classes targeted for audio product design engineers.

In addition to sponsoring the event, THAT Corporation will also contribute to the technical program. Gary Hebert, Chief Technical Officer of THAT Corporation, will present a tutorial titled “Designing Microphone Preamplifiers.” Mr. Hebert’s tutorial will provide a primer on microphone preamplifier design requirements, potential fault conditions and solutions. He will present a sampling of amplifier circuits and topologies, and will discuss design tradeoffs among cost, size, power consumption, noise, THD, CMR and other factors.

“We have, long supported the AES by exhibiting at numerous conventions and presenting many technical papers,” commented Les Tyler, THAT’s President. “In addition to past and present financial and technical support we encourage our employees to be active in the society. For example, Bob Moses, our IC Program Manager, is an AES Governor, past president and AES Fellow. Sponsoring the Product Design Track is just another way for THAT to support the goals of the AES by educating audio design engineers and sharing our breadth of audio industry knowledge.”
