THAT Corporation Expands CTO Role

Hebert to Focus on Product Development

Gary Hebert
Chief Technical Officer

Milford, Mass. – THAT Corporation®, a leading provider of high-quality audio IC technologies, today announced that Gary Hebert will extend his role as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to include more focus on product definition and technical marketing.

Hebert is one of the original founding members of THAT and designer of many of THAT’s most popular integrated circuits. “This change will have a significant positive impact on the company,” said Les Tyler, President. “In the last several years, Gary has spent most of his time designing new ICs. Recent growth in our design engineering department has freed him to spend more time with our customers. We want to take advantage of his background in audio product and IC design to better understand our customer’s product needs and to present our latest ICs to them.”

Hebert commented, “I’ve always had strong opinions about the design of our ICs. By spending more time with customers, I can better figure out what they really need in our next generation of ICs. I’m excited to be taking on more responsibility to ensure that our new designs satisfy market demands and advance the state of the art.” He went on to predict, “Look to us for new ICs that break with the traditions of the past, not only in what customers expect from THAT but from conventional thinking about audio design.”

Hebert holds a BSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has 30 years of experience in analog circuit design with THAT, dbx Inc, and Teradyne. He is an accomplished drummer who especially enjoys the blues.
