THAT Corporation & Audio Precision to Co-sponsor AES Product Design Track

AES Design Discussion/Workshop Program Headed By THAT Corporation & AP at AES New York

The Javits Center, New York, USA: Audio Precision, the recognized standard in audio test, together with audio IC manufacturer THAT Corporation, join forces as co-sponsors for the popular Product Design Track program of design-oriented workshops, tutorials, and discussion panels at the forthcoming 131st Convention of the Audio Engineering Society, which takes place at the Javits Center in New York, October 20-23.

The Product Design Track was introduced at last year’s Fall AES Convention in San Francisco, and was a great success. In addition to being co-sponsor, AP’s Chairman and co-founder, Bruce Hofer will draw from a lifetime of analog design to moderate the discussion “Building Analog In The 2010s”, sharing insights on the continuing need for analog technology in today’s audio products, and how to achieve reliable and affordable performance from modern components.

Mr. Hofer comments: “We have always been strong supporters of the AES, and are very pleased, not only to be returning to New York for this year’s Convention to announce new products, but also to be joining our friends at THAT Corporation in co-sponsoring the fascinating series of talks and workshops planned for this year’s Product Design Track. I look forward to seeing AES members at the discussions.”

Les Tyler, President of THAT Corporation, adds: “The AES, and especially the Product Design Track, is a great opportunity for engineers who are passionate about audio electronics design to come together to learn and share ideas. We are pleased and proud to help enable sharing of detailed design ideas along with an innovative company such as Audio Precision.”

Workshops, discussion panels and seminars taking place during this year’s Fall AES Convention will cover such diverse design topics as avoiding noise in circuit design, using Bluetooth for audio transmission and networking, and how loudspeaker components behave at high amplitudes.

THAT Corporation will also share their audio expertise for designers in their seminar, “De-Integrating Integrated Circuit Preamps”, presented by Mr. Tyler.
