THAT Corporation appoints Joe Lemanski as Manager of Applications Engineering
Milford, MA, USA – THAT Corporation has announced that Joe Lemanski has been appointed to the newly created position of Manager of Applications for the IC group. In this capacity Joe will assume responsibility for directing the course of THAT’s IC applications team. His main goal will be to further develop the strong customer service level which the company’s customers have come to rely upon. In addition to working with customers on application questions, Joe will play a strong role in developing new circuits.
Les Tyler, THAT’s president, said, “Just one of many factors that make Joe a great fit for this position is that we worked together at dbx, where he designed pro audio products. His strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design will be a benefit to our existing design team as well as to our customers.”
Joe’s experience base also includes stints at pioneer ARP Instruments, where he developed the first analog guitar synthesizer, and Bose Corporation, where he worked in pro audio and automotive areas. There, he participated in the early development of noise-cancelling headphones for aviation applications.
Joe Lemanski commented, “I’ve known a number of people now at THAT Corporation from my days at dbx and I’m looking forward to working with them again, as well as getting back into pro audio design.”
Joe earned a B.S. at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds several US patents, including one on the novel “de-esser” while at dbx. He is an active musician and an experienced recording engineer, which has provided insights for his design work in audio.
